Miss K. Power returned yesterday, from a holiday visit to Hamilton.

Mr. and Mrs. A. Hill returned yesterday from a visit to Nelson and Christchurch.

Miss 1. M. Dalton, Dental Nurse, Reefton, has received notice of transfer to Waimate.

Mr. Justice O’Regan, President of the Arbitration Court, arrived last evening, from Reefton.

Messrs W. Cecil Prime, A. L. Monteith, J. A. Gilmour and A. J. Magnussen, of the Arbitration Court, arrived yesterday, from Christchurch.

Mr. J. Green and Miss E. Giddens, who have been the guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. ,T. Green, Ngahere, returned to-day, -to Lakeside and Leeston, respectively.

Ven. Archdeacon G.- W. York, of Christchurch, and formerly of Greymouth, arrived from Christchurch yesterday and is the guest of Mr. and Mrs. T. McLean, Fox Street, Cobden.

Mr R. D. Duxfield, a Shorthorn breeder and exhibitor, died at his home at Horotiir yesterday (stated a Hamilton telegram). He was* born in 1862 at. Newcastle-on-Tyne.

Dr. Ernest Woermann, who lias been Counsellor and Charge, d*Affaires at the German Embassy in London for the last two years, has left London for Berlin' to take up his new appointment in • the German Foreign Office. —Official Wireless.

In honour of the coming of. age of her daughter, Doris, Mrs. L. Harker entertained over 60 guests at a social at Perotti Hall, last evening. Miss Harker w’as presented with an autographed silver key by her brother, Mr. L. Harker, and appropriate toasts were honoured. Dancing was enjoyed Mr. B. Mcßeth being M.C.
