WEDDING
CASSERLY—KENNEDY The marriage took place in the Catholic Church, Waiuta, on Easter Monday, of Kathleen, elder daughter of Mrs. D. Thompson (Cobden), and the late Mr. M. Kennedy and Patrick Casserley. The bride, who was escorted by Mr. D. Thompson, wore a gown of white ponyskin satin, and veil of embroidered lace caught at the top with a. coronet of silvei’ with velvet shoes to tone. She carried a bouquet of pink flowers. The bridesmaids, Misses Eileen Kennedy and Margaret Nohra, wore frocks of pale blue satin, with redingotes to tone. They also carried bouquets of pink flowers. The flower-girl, Joan Connors, wore a pretty frock of pale green with a halo of pale green flowers. The best man was Mr. M. Kennedy, brother of the bride. Mr. R. Yarrow was groomsman. The bride’s mother wore a navy blue costume with hat and shoes to tone. She carried a small bouquet of pink and blue flowers. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Father Butler. The reception was held in the Women’s Institute Hall.
