LONDON, April 17. The “Telegraph’s” Paris correspondent says: M. Daladier and M. Bonnet will arrive in London to-morrow, and expected to stay forty-eight hours. In addition to> military, naval and air discussions, the conversations will cover every field of international politics, in which Britain and France are interested, especially the British —Italian pact, the Spanish question, and Central Europe problems. It is anticipated that the discussions will be followed up when The’r Majesties visit France in June.
SHANGHAI, April 17. Apparently staking the fate of the North China campaign upon frontally overwhelming the Shantung line toward Hsuchow, the Japanese are abandoning hundreds of miles of territory in Shensi and North Honan, rushing reinforcements to Hsuchow, in order to synchronise the onslaught with the northward drive from Nankin along the Southern Tientsin-Pukow line.
