WELLINGTON, January 19
The New Zealand women’s cricket team, which will leave for Sydney to-morrow night, to play a series of matches in New South Wales, had a useful final practice at the Basin Re-, serve to-day, when ’they met a team representing the Wellington Women’s Cricket Association. Twelve a-side were played, to give all of the members of the New Zealand team muchneeded practice. The game ended in a draw. The weather was unpromising in the morning, but the sun eventually dispersed the clouds and the afternoon was fine and sunny. Following are the details: —

In the Sheffield Shield, match against against New South XX ales today. South Australia, in the second innings realised 334. Bradman was nut out 104. The wicketkeeper, did not bat, owing to the injury to his finger. In the bowling. O’Brien took 3 for 90, and O’Reilly 4 for 65.
New South Wales in the second innings lost 6 for 227. Fingleto'n made 74. McCabe 39, Barnes 21, and Chipperfield 30. In the bowling. XX-’aite look 3 for 35. New South XVales won by four wickets. Bradman, who substituted to-day for XXTilker as wicketkeeper, caught three batsmen out.
