WATCHMAN FIRES AT MAN.

MELBOURNE, December 15.

A nightwatchman fired five shots ; at two men he disturbed-'in the rest- - - ing yards at Flemington. Before the i watchman, Mr Harper, discovered the men they had killed 11 sheep. V Mr Harper told Detective-Sergeant - lawience and police from Burwood that he was patrolling along a dividing fence when he "was attracted by X the bark-of a dog.
