SHIPPING NOTES. Miro sailed late yesterday afternoon, for Oamaru. Karu arrived early this morning, from Wellington, and is loading timber for Petone, Wellington and Miramar. Kaimiro is expected to sail this evening, for Auckland and Portland. Foxton is due this afternoon from Wellington, with cargo, and after discharge, will load timber for Petone. Titoki is due at 5 o’clock this afternoon from New Plymouth, and will load coal for Tarakohe and Wanganui, sailing at noon to-morrow. Gael is loading timber for Wellington, and is to sail to-morrow. Kartigi is due at 7 o’clock to-night, with cargo from Auckland, and after discharge, will load coal and timber for Wellington, sailing on Monday

evening. Alexander now leaves Tarakohe today, foi‘ Greymouth direct, to load coal for Dargaville, being due to-morrow. Omana, from Wellington and New Plymouth, is due on Monday, to load timber for Melbourne and Adelaide. Waimea is due on September 27, to load timber for Onehunga. OTHER PORTS. PORT NELSON, Sept. 17. Arrived 5.35 p.m. on Sept. 16, Kaitoa from Greymouth. MELBOURNE, September 17. Sailed, James Cook for Auckland.
