MARATHON DUEL
21 HOURS’ SWORD PLAY. [by CABLE —PRESS ASSN. —COPYRIGHT.] (Recd. August 24, 11. a.m.) BUDA PEST, August. 23. Believed to be rhe longest, in history. a duel was fought, by Chief Engineer Zboropjaj and Dr. Prueler. fencing expert. The duel lasted two and’ a-half hours. They used light cavalry sabres. Both were wounded early in tho combat and again in the twelfth round, when the seconds wanted to stop the fight, which continued until tho fifty-first round, when it. wa.s declared ended, owing to the exhaustion of the duellists. The duel originated over an argument at a meeting.
