WELLINGTON, June 24

Before Mr Mosley, S.M., at the Magistrate’s Court, to-day. Albert Fergus Stanley Hickey, 38. company manager, was charged that on or about March 25, knowing a certificate dated May 29. 1928, to be forged, purporting to be tinder the hand of the Melbourne University Registrar, certifying that Albert Fergus Stanley Patton, who has since reverted to his paternal name of Hickey, had complied with the regulations of the decree of Bachelor of Science, and qualified for admission to the degrees of Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery, ho attempted to cause Charles John Drake lo act on it as genuine.

There was also a charge of attempted suicide. Tilt 1 police said tin- accused vas arrested this morning, and the remand they sought was granted.
