management committee. Tho weekly meeting of the Management Committee, of the West Coast Rugby League was held last evening, there being present: Messrs. J. Stokes (chairman),"W: Barlow, J;* J. Anisy, W. Moore (Junior Advisory Board), A. 'Fielding (Referees’ delegate), W. O’Neill, B. Ramsay. B. Rathbun and R. J. Harrington (secretary). In reply to the League’s representations regarding the travelling of school boys’ teams, the Railways Department advised that no objection would be raised to the granting of the concession fares, provided that, the team comprised only bona fide scholars, the application was signed by a responsible official of the League, and the team was accompanied by an accredited member of the Centre. The New Zealand League acknowledged the receipt of the nomination of Mr. L. Hunter as South Island selector, and advised that Mr. J. E. H. Amos had been appointed to the position. Pointing out that, they had a bye in the competition, the Nelson Creek Club applied for permisison to semi a senior team to Christchurch, with the Inangahua excursion next week-end. 1 The Ngahere Club also requested 1 permission to travel to Christchurch, [ and that their fixture with Marist be, 1 postponed. ■ Tho Secretary said that no applica-j tion had been received from Marist, 1 hut lie understood from some of their I players that they desired to travel.' Ngahere, he understood, had made arlangemcnts to go to Christchurch.

Mr. Rathbun moved that, as they iiad the bye. Nelson Creek be given permission to travel, but that the . ther fixtures be played. There was no seconder to the motion. and Mr. Barlow moved that, both Ngahere and Nelson Creek be given permission to travel. Mr. Barlow’s motion wa.s seconded by Mr. O’Neill, and carried. The Chairman said that, it would have to be pointed out to clubs that, in the future, thev must make application to the Centre, before making ar--1 .tngeinenis io travel. Tho representative team to meet Canterbury, as selected, was approved.

It was decided to make a dona.lion of Tl/1/- tv the D. Cochrane Benefit Fund. It was decided to forward a- letter of congratulation to the Inangahua Sub-Centre, on the victory of their representatives, and on tho good spirit in which tho game was played. Tho Secretary was instructed to proeuro a new set. of senior representative jerseys and socks.
