Ten thousand persons attended Their Majesties’ first garden party of the reign, at Buckingham. Palace. The weather was fine. Visitors from the Dominions and colonies were largely represented. The Royal Family circulated for about an hour among the guests, who split up into small groups. Officials asked if any Dominion visitors were present, whereupon those coming forward were presented to the member of the Royal Family they wished to meet. Mr Jordan presented to Their Majesties the following New Zealanders: —Mr and Mrs W. J. Broadfoot, Mr Eliot Davis, Mr and Mrs C. A. Wilkinson, Mr E.‘ P. Howard, M.P., and Miss Iris Martin.
