GENERAL HERTZOG ANGRY [by CARTE—PP.ESR aSSX. —COPYRIGHT.] LONDON. June 19. An angry statement made by the South African Prime Minister (General J. B. M. Hertzog) before his departure from England has caused a sensation In WhitMiaii and in South Africa. He told a Routh African journalist that after a long conversation with Mr. Malcolm MacDonahl (Secretary of State for the Dominions) about the future of native protectorates in South Africa he was most disappointed with the results of the talk. He added: “I fear that unless a different attitude is taken, the consequences will be of a most unpleasant character.”
