BRUNNER NOTES
[our own correspondent.] The monthly meeting of the Brunner Women’s Institute was held in Dickson’s Hall, Wallsend, on Thursday, Miss. Smeaton presiding over an attendance of 40 members. The motto was “Who never makes a mistake never makes anything.” Mrs A. V. Olliver. Greymouth, gave an interesting address on education for boys and girls and on her tour of the North Island with the West Coast farmers. Miss Smeaton thanked Mrs Olliver. The competition, article made from tl 251 b flour-bag, was won by Mrs M. Bennie, a tray-cloth. Mrs Johnson (past-treasurer), who is leaving the district, handed in her resignation.
'I he president, expressed regret at. her departure from the district. The roll call. "An old photo of one’s self,” it. was decided to leave over till next meeting. Mesdames Devlin, Kerr. Bennie and' Middleton were elected the committee tor the euchre tournaments. The hostesses for the even-i ing were Mesdames Johnson, Ten- 1 nant, Kerr, and Middleton. j
