YANKEE TOURNAMENT

The West Coast Basketball Association conducted a Yankee tournament at McGinley Park on Wednesday, under ideal conditions. The march past of all the teams engaged, to music supplied by the Municipal Band, was a spectacular feature, and was watched by a large crowd. INANGAHUA RESULTS A basketball tourney was conducted by the Inangahun Sub-Association at Reefton on Wednesday. Teams from Ikamatua and Ahaura and several local teams contested the games. The matches were played al the Reefton District High School grounds, in miserable cold foggy weather, and there was a poor attendance of spectators, though the enthusiasm ran high among the teams. The, final was not reached owing to failing light. The final game between Stars and Old Girls’ A is to be played off on Saturday next. Results: School v. United I! 5/3. Stars v. School 11/3.
