PREMIER’S RECEPTION [BRITISH OFFICIAL WIRELESS.] RUGBY. June 4. The Imperial Conference delegates and their wives were the guests ol the Government at a reception at Lancaster House, where the Prime Minister and Mrs. Chamberlain received the visitors.

RHODESIAN CONFIDENCE. [British official wireless.] RUGBY. June 5. Speaking at the dinner in his honour. Mr. Huggins, Prime Minister of Southern Rhodesia said there was no necessity for representatives of Southern Rhodesia to discuss such matters as imperial defence. They had such faith in the democracy of this country they were convinced that the British Government, would never be allowed to go to war for a cause that Rhodesia could not wholeheartedly subscribe to.
