ST. JOHN’S V. HOKITIKA Last evening at St. John’s, in a match for the Quinn trophy, the Hokitika Badminton Club succeeded in defeating St. John’s and retaining the trophy after an even and interesting contest. Each team won six games but Hokitika scored 192 points against St. John’s 188 points. After the match supper was served. Rev. H. R. Fell, Mr. Rosewall and Mr. Stevens welcomed the Hokitika team, congratulating them on their win. Regret was expressed that this was Dr. Oakey’s last chance to represent Hokitika, as lie had been the founder of the club, and the best player.
