IN TER- ’ V A R SIT YTOURN A M F. N T [PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.] AUCKLAND. May 27. The annual inter-university hockey tournament was continued to-day in unfavourable weather.
In the principal contest, Auckland beat (’a nt er bury by two goals to nil. after a thrilling match. Auckland scored two goals in the last live minutes. Otago beat Victoria by one goal to nil.
The women's section began to-day. Otago beat Victoria by 9 goals to one. and Auckland drew with Canterbury, two-all. In the afternoon. Auckland beat Victoria by five goals to nil. and Otago beat Canterbury by 12 to one. The final in the men's section will be played to-morrow between Otago and Auckland A. The winners will take the Seddon Stick, at present held by Victoria.
