NATIONAL CO-OPERATION
APPEAL BY HON. P. FRASER. [per press association.] DANNEVIRKE, May 27. In an address to the inter-provincial conference of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union to-day, the Acting-Prime Minister (Hon. P. Fraser) assured the delegates that the Government desired the complete co-operation of farmers and all sections of industry in endeavouring to further the progress of the Dominion, and it desired the helpful co-operation of all useful and rightthinking people. At the last general election the people made their choice and returned the Labour Party. He referred to the planks of the party, which the Government was implementing. They intended to honour their promises as far us humanly possible. ; le said that all sections of the people must work amicably together for the betterment of the country as a whole. There must be an absence of perpetual a ntagonism. It was the desire of the Government i hat not one section of the people ; hould benefit at the expense of any ether section. They wanted all to : hare in the general prosperity of the < ountry and the distribution of the wealth of the country. There might 1.-e room for serious and honest difference of opinion on the measures adopted by the Government, but it would at all times be willing to give serious consideration to any proposals for an improvement upon the present measures, particularly regarding the guaranteed prices.
