In a professional. boxins contest tonight, Billy Aitken (Drib 31.1 b), Wellington, defeated'- Young Gildo (!h;t 31b). a Filipino, on points in 13 rounds. It was a good contest, with Gildo leading in the early rojinrts, and Aitken more than piakiug up leeway over the latter half. Aitken’s stronger._ punching probably won-him the decision. SMITH V. GLENGARRY. WELLINGTON, April 28. Ono of the best professional boxing matches seen in either Wellington or Hutt Valley for a long lime was that in which Stan Smith (list ll)lb) and Don Glengarry MDst 31b), belli of Wellington, fought a draw at Petone before a large attendance, to-night. Both men fought willingly, and there was not a dull mom ent.
