Britain’s 11 eight-inch-gun cruisers, of the same tvpe as the Canberra and Australia,-will be modernised in the same way as the Australian cruisers. The principal change will be the replating with armour designed for greater protection against air attack. CAMBRIDGE RESOLUTION. LONDON, April 27. The Cambridge University Union by 94 votes to 90 resolved that “true national defence can only be effectively secured by individual refusal to bear arms and by complete disarmament. DISARMAMENT CONFERENCE. LONDON, April 27.
