WEDDING

DONOVAN—NESBITT The wedding was solemnised at St. Patrick’s Church, Greymouth, this morning, of Veronica Anne, daughter of Mrs. E. and tlie late Mr. Nesbitt, of Greymouth, and Richard John, second son of Mr. and "Mrs. W. Donovan, Murray Street. Nuptial Mass was celebrated by Rev. Father Gregory, who also performed the ceremony. A guard of honour was formed at the entrance to the Church by the Children of Mary. Miss Doreen Donovan sang “Ave Maria,” Miss M. McSherry being at the organ. The bride, who was escorted by her brother, Mr. M. Nesbitt, wore a gown of silk crinkle flambol, cut on classical lines. Her hand-embossed veil fell from a bandeau, which was finished with clusters of orange blossom and she carried a shower bouquet of white chrysanthemums. She was attended by her sister, Miss Nancy Nesbitt, as bridesmaid, wearing a frock of pink cloque, with halo hat to tone. She carried a shower bouquet of pink chrysanthemums. .Mr. M. O’Grady was best man. The reception was held at the residence of the bride’s mother, Albert Terrace, Mrs. Nesbitt receiving her guests wearing a black ensemble, relieved with white. The bridegroom’s mother wore a blue floral ensemble. The wedding cake was the gift of Misses B. and E. Campbell. Mr. and Mrs. R. Donovan left by the express for Dunedin, the bride travelling in a navy blue costume, with a fur stole.
