“SUMMER GLASS”

COLD LIGHT POSSIBLE. “Summer Glass” has been discovered in Northern Bohemia. It is a new kind of glass which absorbs th"' heat of the sun while lotting through its light. Technicians had long been interested in heat-absorbing glass, but had hitherto been baffled by the problem that the greatest part of the sun’s energy lay in the visible spectrum. For years past experiments have been tried for separating heat from light in the sun’s rays. Now a Czechoslovak glass factory claims to have made, cold light possible.

The discovery is being tested at the State Glass Institute at Hradoc Kra love. “Summer Glass” or “Cool Glass” is

bluish green in colour and lots the light of the mtn penetrate ami absorbs its heat. It is an invaluable discovery for warm lands, for hospitals, schools, and food .shops.
