FARR OUTPOINTS BAER

LONDON, April 15.
Tommy Farr, the British boxer, outpointed Max Baer in 12 rounds. Farr was confident throughout, attacking and boxing in good style. Baer afterwards said: “I guess I am through with the game. My youngbrother, Buddy, must now step in my shoes.”
GILDO DEFEATS HUGHES
HAMILTON, April 16.
m a. clever boxing display, marked by plenty of action throughout, Young Gildo was awarded a points decision over Archie Hughes, at Hamilton, last evening, before a packed house. The bout went the full distance, Gildo’s speed on attack and clever defence turning the match in his favour, over Hughes’s aggressiveness. There was little between the men in the early rounds, but Gildo took the upper hand in the last four rounds, completely overshadowing his opponent in the final three.
