WHOLESALE PRICE LEVEL [BRITISH OFFICIAL WIBELEBO] RUGBY, April 7. The Board of Trade index of wholesale prices for March shows the l ai £’ est recorded increase for any month since the upward movement began in June, 1936. The index was 3.3 per cent, higher than in February. RESERVE BANK WELLINGTON, April 8. The Reserve Bank figures this, week show a contraction of £106,200 in the note issue and a fall of £699,200 in demand liabilities to the State. Banks demand liabilities are £658,100 higher and others £467,500 higher. Other liabilities are £33,800 lower. Steiling exchange held shows an increase of £173,100. Coin is lower by £6600, and the amount outstanding in the dairy account is £282,600 smaller. Investments are higher by £453,400, and other assets are lower by £41,000. STOCKS AND SHARES.
