Karu, Miramar, early. Karepo, Wellington, early. Hokitika, Hokitika, early. Titoki, Wanganui, early'. Kaimai, Wellington, early. SHIPPING NOTES. Rata, arrived early this afternoon, from Nelson. She is scheduled to sail at noon, to-morrow, for Tarakohe and New Plymouth. Karu is loading timber for Miramar, Wellington and Petone, and is to sail early. She returns about March 25, to again load timber for Miramar, Wellington and Petone. Kiwitea is completing her loading for Auckland and Portland. . Karepo is loading for Wellington. Hokitika is expected to leave Wellington this evening, with cargo for Greymouth and Hokitika. Titoki leaves Nelson to-morrow for Westport and Greymouth. She partloads coal at Westport, and completes at Greymouth for Wanganui. . Kaimai is due on March 23, from Wellington, to load for return. Miro is due on Friday from Dunedin, and will sail later for Westport. (jlael left Wellington last evening, for Greymouth, Hokitika, and Bruce Bay. Kalingo is expected to load cargo at Newcastle about March 25, completing at Sydney and Eden, for Picton, Wanganui, Greymouth, in that order. Omana is expected to load at Bruce Bay' this afternoon, for Melbourne. CABLE SHIP ARRIVES. AUCKLAND, March 16. The cable steamei' Recorder arrived this morning from Singapore, via Brisbane and Sydney, and will sail on Monday night, to repair the trans-Tasman cable, which is broken about 250 miles from Sydney. Afterwards, the vessel will lay a new telephone cable across Cook Strait. Two Chinese stokers, who were injured in the cyclone off the Australian coast, were admitted to hospital at Brisbane. DUTCH DREDGE SCUTTLED LONDON, March 15. The tin dredger’ Kantoeng, after drifting for many days, stranded at West Fowey. The superstructure is like a. Meccano model. Embedded in the sandy bottom, the hull is high and dry at low tide. As there was a danger of the next gale blowing her into the channel mouth, the harbourmaster scuttled her. OTHER PORTS.
