GERMAN PACT DENOUNCED

TOKIQ, March 11. A crowded House heard the debate on foreign affairs. Members asked the Government how Japan would be prevented from being involved in the threatened European maelstrom. They ■ denounced the secrecy surrounding the. Japanese-German pact, and urged . Anglo-Japanese rapprochement. They demanded information to enable the country to judge whether Japan was' headed for peace or war.
Baron Sato, in reply,said that he did not believe ithat a wa,r in Europe was near, as there - were influences working against it. He explained that the Japanese-German agreement was designed?to check the 5 activities of the Third International, which aimed at world revolution. ’ He added that the Government would do its best to dispel foreign misunderstanding about the ; agreement.; • - if Russia "‘ail'd Japan were sincere they could reach an agreement Without difficulty,-.aS ,the;tepuptries' with st raided r international relations. ’
