At the Sydney wool sales 12,165 bales were offered and 11.42 • , 1085 being disposed o£ privately, feature to-day was the keen demand for choice fine wools. PRICE OF CANADIAN FLOUR. DUNEDIN, February 25. Dundin bakers received an unwelcome surprise to-day when the announcement was made by the Wheat Committee that the price of Canadian flour would be raised from £l6/19/b to £lB/10/-, an increase to take ettect immediately. The flour has been available to bakers at the former price since the Wheat Committee began importing Canadian wheat six months ago, the object at that time being to give additional work in the milling industry and also to secure the by-products, bran and pollard, which were lost when it was the custom to import flour from Canada. The increase, according to a Dunedin baker, will represent a substantial sum a month in the cost of bread production.
