BARE SILVER DOLLAR

SPEEDS THROUGH MAIL.

FEDERALSBURG (Md.), Dec. 24.

An unwrapped silver dollar came through the mails this week to Mrs. Mary Fleetwood as the usual Christmas gift from her family. Mrs. Fleetwood has received a silver dollar at Christmas time for the past 25 years. As usual it had a slip with the name and address on one side and a stamp on the other. Not once in the quarter of a century has the coin gone astray. Her brother, the late Henry Wright, started the tradition of mailing her an unwrapped dollar for Christmas. Since his passing three years ago, the practice has been carried on by her son, William Fleetwood of Wilmington, Del.
