The president of the Pacific Maritime Workers’ Federation (Mr Lundberg) said that there was no intention of permitting the Atlantic strike to delay n settlement. All indications point to the early end of the strike, which began 53 days ago. ' Mr Lundberg later announced that a written agreement had been completed and had heen, accepted. by the leaders of the shipowners and strikers. The next step would be the formal ratification by the members of both parties.
