Hyem, have resigned from the Lawn Tennis Umpires’ Association owing "to their being dissatisfied with the manner in which line umpires were selected for the two Davis Cup ties and the Wightman Cup in 1936. When asked to reconsider their decision they agreed to suspend their resignations pending the next meeting of the council. 4 ALL-ENGLAND CLUB ’ ' 1 LONDON, December 17. The “Daily Telegraph” says Sir Louis Greig has been elected chairman of the All-England Lawn Tennis Club. He partnered the King (then Duke 'of York) in the doubles championship in 1926.
