Commending the Anglo-Egyptian Treaty, “The Times” notes that the provisions recognise the Suez Canal as an essential means of Empire communication, and give Britain the assurance that this vital link will be protected by a permanent alliance, while Australia and New Zealand statesmen have shown they fully realise the value of the assurance in ensuring the communications which mean so much to them. ,
