GREY WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP

WON BY MISS N. TENNENT.

The final of the local championship was played at Kaiata links this week in ideal weather. The links were in excellent order, there being a fair amount of run. Miss N. Tennent was again successful in winning the title, she defeating Mrs. J. W. Hannan 3 and 2. Both played good golf. The match was square at the 9th hole. Miss Tennent won the 10th, the 11th was halved and Miss Tennent won the 12th, 13th and 14th in excellent figures, thus making her dormie four. Mrs. Hannan kept the match alive by winning the 15th, but she was unable to better a half at the 16th, Miss Tennent proving the winner of the 1936 championship 3 and 2. L.G.U. MEDAL MATCH The medal match played yesterday was won by Mrs. J. W. Hannan. Scores: — Mrs. Hannan 91 —11 —80. Mrs. Allan Smith 113—24—89. Miss J. Hambleton 118 —28 —90. Mrs. McKay 110 —19 —91. SATURDAY’S MATCH. A medal match will be played on Saturday as follows: Miss Daly v. Miss A. Hambleton. Mrs. McCarthy v. Miss Murphy. Miss McKnight v. Miss Blair. Miss Phelan v. Miss McDonnell.
