At the Stadium, to-night, in fifteen rounds, the Mexican Al Romero (11.6), making his first appearance, outpointed the American Negro, Tommy Jones (10.11). It was a very hard bout, with little between the boxers. Jones was down in the third and last rounds.

TUNNEY’S THIRD SON

NEW YORK, June 18.

An 8-pound son was born to Gene Tunney’s wife, the former Polly Lauder, in the Harkness Medical Pavilion last night. The baby is -the third son born to the ex-champion and his wife, who, it was reported, had hoped for a girl this time. The first of the Tunney children, Gene Lauder, was born on November 18, 1931, and the second, James Joseph, on June 25, 1934.
