HOKITIKA POULTRY SHOW

GREYMOUTH SUCCESSES Good competition and splendid exhibits in the various sections marked the 42nd annual show of the Hokitika Poultry, Pigeon, and Canary Club, which concluded on Saturday. Fine displays were seen in the sections for White Leghorns, Minorcas, Black Leghorns, and Game, while the exhibits in the canary section were particularly good. The judges were. — Game, Air. C. Pfahlert (Kanieri): other poultry" and pigeons, Mr. G. H. Bradford (Christchurch); canaries and cage birds, Mr.. R. W. Thompson (Christchurch). The New Zealand championship for a yellow Yorkshire canary was won by .Mr. Al. P. Lynch, of Greymouth, and he also won the South Island championship for an unflighted canary.

The W. Hall Challenge Cup for the best game bird on the West Coast was awarded io Mr. J. A. Jackson, of Greymouth. Other Greymouth successes were as follow:
