MASTERTON, July 26.

The Wairarapa badminton championships ended last night. P. Hawksworth, South Island champion, made a clean sweep of the men’s events. He won the singles with the greatest oh ease, and, partnered by J. Logan, he took the doubles. With Miss In. Fleming he won the combined doubles. Miss Fleming was equally successful in winning the singles, and, partnered by Miss J. Hosking, she won the doubles. BOXING NELSON, July 27. In a professional boxing bout, Ern Jacobs, outpointed Kid Fisher.
