NEW YORK, July 25.

The Chicago correspondent of tne “New York Times” says that according to the calculations of leading grain experts, the world is facing. a wheat shortage. With the leading producing countries suffering subnormal yields, it is estimated that production will be at least half a billion bushels under the normal consumptitrif indicating the complete absorption this year of the world carryover. T?ie experts figures show that the indicated world production is 4,639,000,000 bushels, which, with 015,000,000 bushels carry-over, provides available stocks of 5,254,000,000 bushels, compared with last year's consumption of 5,289,000,000 bushels. According to present crop conditions, American production will fall short by at least 12,000,000 bushels of the normal consumption, indicating that more or less extensive importations will be necessary.
