Tho annual ball of the Waiuta Soccer Club was held in the Miners’ Hall on Saturday evening, when, despite the inclement weather, an enjoyable and successful function took place. The hall was prettily decorated with the club’s colours of blue and while, with coloured lights. The music was supplied by the Gaiety Orchestra, while Mr Syd. Ramsden was in charge of the floor. Supper was served by a ladies’ committee, During the evening, Mr E. J Rose, on behalf of the club, thanked those present for their attendance, and also the members of the committee who had worked so hard to make the function the success it most certainly was. Novelty dances and competitions were won by Mr and Mrs Baran, Mr D. Sadler and Mrs Sullivan. Mr J. Bagley, Miss Mclnroe and partner, Mrs Bagley and Mr J. Bagley. Those present included: Mesdames L.
