REEFTON NOTES

[OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.] REEFTON, July 4. The district experienced a heavy fall of rain on Thursday night, and this was accompanied by thunder. Friday morning broke fine, and residents awoke to find the hills at the hack of the river coated with a heavy fall of snow, at a low level. Friday was a day of sunshine although the wind was keen. Teams representing the Ikamatua Basketball Club visited Reefton on Thursday night, and played games against United Club. The visitors won one match and lost one, scores being 13/10 against United B in favour of Ikamatua, and 15/2 in favouf of United A.
