VALEDICTORY

MR. W. H. REEVES. On Tuesday afternoon a pleasing ceremony took place in the Woodstock School, when the departing teacher, Mr. W. H. Reeves, was the recipient of a Kaiapoi rug, and umbrella from the Rimu and Woodstock parents and children, a gold mounted fountain pen from the local footballers and cricketers, and a safety razor outfit from the Cooper family. Eulogistic speeches were made, and Master Ken Wells read an address, and Master Allan Wells made the presentation. Mr. Reeves thanked all for their kindness etc. to him during his five years residence among them. Mr. Reeves is taking another position under the Board, and is not retiring on superannuation as previously published.
