The Dardanelles negotiations have so far progressed there is hope of being able to sign a treaty by the end of next week.

Mr. Stanley, Parliamentary Secretary to the Admiralty, left London tonight, for Geneva. He will later proceed to Montreux, where he will act as the chief British delegate when the Dardanelles conference resumes. He will succeed Lord Stanhope, who is returning to London, to take up his new duties as Commissioner of Works.
