CHRISTCHURCH. June. 20.

The first prize of £5OO in the Military Art Union was won by W. Jenkins, Takaka, Nelson province. The number of his ticket was 46,067. The second prize of / £ 100 was won by “Daring Deed,” Ivan Cullen; and the third prize of £5O by “Maybe,” Christchurch. The art union, which wgs drawn this evening, for which the prize Dioney was £l,OOO, and was divided into 58 prizes, was organised to collect funds for the Territorial units in the South Island, and the Christchurch branch of the Returned Soldiers’ Asso ciation. The profits will be about £1,150. ' .
