BRUNNER NOTES

[our own correspondent.] Taylorville School Committee held a whist drive in the school on Monday evening. The following were the winners:—Mrs. E. Dando 1. Mr. 1. Nimmo 2 and Mrs. Chetwynd 3. The aggregate prizes for the half year were won by Mrs. E. Dando and Mr. M. Hall. Nurse Hudson, Hokitika, is the guest of Mr. and Mrs. R- Fordham Taylorville. Mr. H. Smith, Leeston, who has been visiting Mr. and Mrs. J. Rowlands Taylorville, has left on return. Mr. S. A. Fry, and Mr. W. Ryan Christchurch, who have been attending a meeting of the Wallsend Mine Syndicate have returned. Mrs. Higson and Master J. Bell, Dobson, are inmates of the Grey Hospital. Mr. R. J. Le Cren, Taylorville, is on a Visit to Timani.
