There is expectation in Parliamentary circkts that Hie promised statein -.nt of the Government’s policy in i- ipect. of the revised unemployment assistance regulations, which were withdrawn early in 1933, will not be much longer delayed. Some time mturaliy will be given to enable members of Parliament, to consider the new regulations before Parliament isl asked to approve of them, and it will! be probably found, therefore, that iti is not intended they should come, into! force before the autumn. On the other hand it is generally assumed that the Government will wish to see the position regarding unemployment assistance regularised before the be-, ginning of winter.
