THE SUN. The sun sets to-day at 4.31 p.m.; rises to-morrow at 7.34 a.m. WEATHER REPORT. Wind, East; slight breeze; barometer, 30.17; thermometer, 37; blue sky; bar, moderate swell; river, normal; rainfall, nil. AT OTHER CENTRES.

WEATHER FORECAST. General inference: Though pressure is fairly high over New Zealand, a slight depression is located just west of the North Island, and a more intense one is advancing across the South Tasman. Forecast: Light to moderate but freshening northerly winds. Weather fair lit first, but clouding over ttud later some rain developing. Seas moderate, but increasing somewhat.
