'lhe funeral of the late John Keele took place yesterday afternoon, at Karoro Cemetery. Archdeacon J. A. Jermyn conducted the services at Holy Trinity Church, and at the graveside.
The following appointments to West Coast schools were confirmed at a meeting of the Canterbury Education Board, yesterday:—Greymout.i, Miss M. E. Gilbert; Kaihinu, Miss M. E. Wild. The resignation of Miss A. E. Shorland, of Greymouth, was accepted.
The death occurred at Sydney last week, of Michael McGillicuddy, a native of South Beach, aged about 50 years. Deceased had resided iu Australia for over 20 years. He is survived by his wife, and a family of '
eight. Mrs T. Delaney, South Beach, is a sister of deceased.'
A Wellington Press Association telegram announced the death of Mr. W. F. Morrison, aged 48, secretary of Armstrong, Springhall, Liirlited. He was a Fellow of the New Zealand Society of Accountants, and also of the London and Australian Societies. He was for many years a member of the Commercial Travellers’ Club. He is survived by a widow and two sons.
