STATE GRANTS TO INCREASE [BY CABLE —PRESS ASSN. COPYRIGHT.] BERLIN, June 16. Seeking to stimulate the birthrate, Herr Reinhardt, of the Finance Ministry, announces State grants of ten marks monthly for the fifth and every additional child, under sixteen years, of families whose income does not exceed 185 marks monthly. It is estimated that four hundred thousand children are involved costing forty-eight million marks a year. This scheme will operate from July, and will supplement the system of non-recurrent grants to large families, which hitherto cost stventy-five million marks. Six hundred thousand loans, totalling 340 million marks, have been made to assist couples to marry.
