N.Z. CO-OP. DAIRY CO
HAMILTON. June 13
Returns now available covering the company’s total production during the past season show that all previous records of the New Zealand Cooperative Dairy Company have been eclipsed, the increased butter production amounting to 5410 tons. At the company’s sixteen butter factories, outputs ranged from 100 tons at Ngongotaba, to 6385 tons at Waharoa, while at the eighteen cheese factories, the quantity manufactured varied from 288 tons to 1029 tons. The output of butter at Waharoa' represented an increase of 21 per cent, while at the other factories substantial increases were reported. An increased overseas demand resulted in a substantially increased output of casein and a greater output ot milk powder was quickly absorbed by overseas markets. It has been decided by the company, on account of the improved conditions on the United Kingdom market to make an advance of 1/1 id per 11) butterfat for cheese. The output of the other Waikato cooperative and proprietary company also increased substantially, a reflection of the exceptionally good dairy season experienced in the Waikato.
