Representative delegates attending the International Publishers’ conference in London, were received to-day by the King, at Buckingham Palace. CATTLE SUBSIDY. The cattle subsidy will be continued until the end of October, the Minister of Agriculture informed the Commons to-day, adding that he was not yet in a position to say when the statement of the Government’s long term policy for the cattle industry would be made. CHANCELLOR TO RESCUE Newspapers report a pleasing incident at St. James Park to-day. While the Chancellor of the Exchequer was taking his customary walk, a small boy, who was looking at the ducks, lost his balance, and fell over the low railings into the lake. Mr. Neville Chamberlain leaned over and fished the boy out of the water, and after handing him over wet but unharmed, to the nurse, continued on his way.
