MOTORISTS’ MISHAP

DANNEVIRKE, June 11
While going from Dannevirko to a dance at Woodville, last evening, a car containing four Dannevirke and two Kiritaki residents, struck a concrete bridge on the main road, ah,out four miles from Woodville. The car remained where it struck. The occupants are reported to have all been shot into the creek, containing several feet of water. They were rescued by the driver of the car, Cyril Albert White, who was unhurt, and a motorist, who was following.
Only one was seriously injured. A youth, Trevor Drinkwater, of Dannevirke, had a leg broken, the other members of the party, including two young women, suffered from abrasions and shock, but not seriously.
