DEFIANCE TO CHANCELLOR. [BY CABLE PRESS ASSN. —COPYRIGHT.] VIENNA, May 27. Prince Starhemberg ami the Austrian Heimwehr have gone into opposition against Chancellor Von Schiichnigg. A communique issued after a two-hour meeting of tire Heimwwehi states: "The Heimwehr leaders are firmly determined to fight in the future, as in the past, for the aims of the Heimwehr. Prince Starhemberg presided at the meeting, which was attended by all of the Heimwehr provincial leaders, who swore allegiance to Prince Starhemberg. The new programme of Prince Starhemberg, it is stated, consists ot onlv one point: "Arm the Heimwehr to the teeth.” This is in spite of Chancellor Schuschnigg’s intention to disarm the Heimwehr. The.Vice-Chancellor, M. Baarenfels. becomes, with Herr W'eninger, who at present is leader of the Upper Austrian Heimwehr, the Deputy Chief of the Heimwehr General Staff. Count Von Sturigkh takes over the Styrian| command of the Heimwehr from M.j Baron Waldenegg. who goes to Rome as the Austrian Minister. M. Baarenfels and other Heimwehr members of the Cabinet do not propose to resign from the Government, but it remains to bo seen whether Chancellor Von Schuschnigg will keep them in it. The Heimwehr headquartters have been moved from Vienna.
