KUMARA NOTES
The half-yearly meeting of the Loyal Albert Lodge of Oddfellows was held last evening. Bro. C. Thorn, N.G., presided over a good attendance.
The arrangements for medical attention and chemist’s supplies were finalised on the lines ’ suggested by the secretary of the Greymouth Lodge at a previous meeting. All members expressed pleasure at the satisfactory agreement made with the medical officer.
It was resolved that all young men anxious to join could arrange for their medical examination with either the Secretary, Bro. W. 11. Evenden or Bro. 11. Hamer.
It was reported that on the Sick Fund were still two members incapacitated as a result of accident. One had left for Christchurch to see an eye specialist. The election for the various of-
ficers, after close contests, resulted: G.M., Bro. C. Thorn;. N.G., Bro. S. Harris; V.G., Bro. C. Warren; Warden, Bro. T. Wills; E.S., Bro. W. Steel: 1.G., Bro. R. Morgan; R.S.N.G., BfirWV. Lakin; L.S.N.G., Bro. A. McLean; R.S.V.G., Bro. S. Honey; L.S.V.G., Bro. F. Holm. It was resolved to attend the installation of officers at Greymouth and to hold the local installation in a fortnight.
Funeral pay £2O, was passed; also £l7 sick pay.
